Important Information: ESBOCES Regional Summer School Registration for Islip Families

Dear Islip Families,

If you were contacted by a teacher or counselor indicating that your child did not pass a course or a Regents exam, they may need to attend summer school. Please note that final grades and Regents scores will be posted to the parent portal no later than Tuesday afternoon. We ask that you double-check the portal to confirm your child's final grades and Regents results.

If your child has been recommended for the ESBOCES Regional Summer School Program, please note that Islip is a non-consortium district. Therefore, a parent/guardian must attend an in-person registration session to complete registration and submit payment. Registration is not complete until payment is received.

• Location: Bay Shore High School, 155 Third Avenue, Bay Shore, NY 11706
  • Classes: $349.82  (Includes Regents exams)   
  • Regents Review: $164.02  (Includes Regents exams)  
  • Regents Exam: $97.33

• Credit Card, Money Order or Certified Check made payable to Bay Shore UFSD

• Registration Dates:
  • Wednesday, July 1: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 2: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please Bring:

• Your child's final report card or documentation from Islip indicating the course(s) and/or Regents examination(s) that must be retaken.
• Your child's student ID card.
• A completed Medical Form (attached)
• Payment: Credit card, money order, or certified check made payable to Bay Shore UFSD.
• If applicable, a copy of your child's current IEP or 504 Plan (if one has not already been submitted).

After Registration:

• Student schedules will be available in SchoolTool beginning July 7 (parents who provide an email address will receive a notification).
• Printed schedules will be available when students report to their assigned summer school location on July 8.

Please Note: While registration takes place at Bay Shore High School, ESBOCES will determine each student's final program location based on the specific course(s), Regents review(s), and/or Regents examination(s) for which they are enrolled.
